Fire King
With the introduction of the new booster box Phantom Nightmare (PHNI), Fire King has received many indirect supports. Most notable:
– Snake-Eyes Populus: If this card is added to your hand, except by drawing it, you can Special Summon it. When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can add 1 “Snake-Eye” Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand. If this card is sent to the GY, you can target 1 FIRE monster in your GY; place it face-up in its owner’s Spell & Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell. You can only use each effect of “Snake-Eyes Populus” once per turn.
With this card, you have another way to search “Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye”. With that, you can easily summon your Fire King starter “Legendary Fire King Poenix”. On top of that, “Snake-Eyes Populus” can special summon itself when added to the hand with cards like “Bonfire” (released in Maze of Millennia / TCG or Animation Chronicle 2023 / OCG) or “Snake-Eyes Ash”
-Bonfire: Add 1 Level 4 or lower Pyro monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 “Bonefire” per turn.
-Snake-Eyes Ash: If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 Level 1 FIRE monster from your Deck to your hand. You can send 2 face-up cards you control to the GY, including this card; Special Summon 1 “Snake-Eye” monster from your hand or Deck, except “Snake-Eye Ash”. You can only use each effect of “Snake-Eye Ash” once per turn.
Another indirect support within PHNI is “Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames”
-Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames:
2+ Effect Monsters
You cannot Special Summon monsters, except FIRE monsters. You can only use each of the following effects of “Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames” once per turn. During your Main Phase, you can Special Summon 1 FIRE monster from your GY. If a monster(s) is Special Summoned to your opponent’s field while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step), you can target 1 FIRE monster you control and 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy them, and if you do, Special Summon this card.
With this card, you can easily summon 1 FIRE monster in the GY. Generating a body on field for other purposes. On top of that, not only the second effect triggers Fire King monster you control, its also a disruption that your opponent has to deal with.
In conclusion, these cards introduce a new layer of consistency to the deck, making it more resilient to handtraps and flexible against interruptions.

The Snake-Eyes ratio is still pending definition in this version, which incorporates Agnimal Candle as a potential useful extender!
Additionally, the inclusion of Goblin Rider side cards adds an intriguing dynamic, particularly in countering Purrely. Leveraging the effect of Goblin Rider Boon the Machspeed during both players’ turns can be highly advantageous!

Conclusion
Appears that Purrely and R-ACE maintain a presence in the meta, albeit with diminished significance.
Fire King is dominating the format, heralding a week of intense duels and fiery strategies.
“The forecast suggests a hot, very hot week ahead.”
