Fire King

Fire King continues to set high tables ablaze with its mid-range playstyle that can swiftly execute efficient OTKs. Fire King Sanctuary and Fire King Island appear to have found their stability, often seen as a 2x main deck ratio, currently the most widely utilized. More and more players seem to have ditched the Selene, Queen of the Master Magicians, and Accesscode Talker package, making room for the second copy of Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames, and Salamangreat Raging Phoenix.

For further insights into this strategic shift, check out the article on Spicy Deck Tech OCG.

Opting for a single Snake-Eyes Populus instead of the common 2x in many other lists seems to be a weekly trend. The absence of Fire King Avatar Barong, making way for the second copy of Fire King Avatar Arvata, appears to be a popular choice. The Fire King archetype is truly heating up the competition!

R-ACE

And where the flames take hold, here come the firefighters to cool things down. R-ACE has undergone no noteworthy changes. The deck, like any Fire deck at the moment, leverages the Diabellstar/Populus/Bonfire package, effectively summoning numerous monsters on the field, as if it were a high-speed printer.
This strategic approach allows players to navigate around hand traps when going first and bait interruptions when going second, establishing itself as a tier 0 sub-engine.
Due to the Snake-Eyes package, Droll & Lock Bird is becoming increasingly popular in both main and side decks.

Labrynth

After the addition of Rumpel Teufel / Terrors of the Netherroot, Labyrinth appears to have reverted to a control-oriented version, leaving behind the Unchained variant, which seems to have disappeared from the competitive scene.
Rumpel Teufel is a highly flexible card that effectively counters Fire King by declaring Legendary Fire King Ponix.
When combined with Transaction Rollback, it locks down any deck from its main engine, proving to be a lethal combination.

Evenly Matched proves to be very effective against Fire King and Labyrinth, justifying its presence in the side deck.

Conclusion

In this week’s Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments, Fire King’s mid-range strategy continues to dominate.
R-ACE remains a consistent contender with its powerful Diabellstar/Populus/Bonfire package.
Labyrinth shifts towards a control-oriented playstyle.
Droll & Lock Bird gains popularity cause of the Snake-Eyes package.
Evenly Matched proves essential in countering Fire King and Labyrinth.
