Fire King

The version proposed today doesn’t offer any significant changes.
Fire King Sky Burn and the second copy of Fire King Island seem to be the general trend in OCG, along with Garunix Eternity, Hyang of the Fire Kings in the extra deck.
We notice the absence of Droll & Lock Bird in the main deck due to an increasing number of Snake-Eyes Decks dominating the top tables in recent events.
The Delta/Gamma package in the side deck seems to be the most suitable response to Crossout Designator/Called by the Grave and Triple Tactics Talent, which are the most popular answers to a meta that focuses on Hand-Traps.

This week’s updates:

Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit is a great card to side against Voiceless Voice for Barrier of the Voiceless Voice. Also, it’s an interesting hand-trap at the moment because of its interaction against Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess, and Divine Temple of the Snake-Eye, which is decent as a turn draw when going second.

Snake-Eyes

In the Snake-Eyes version proposed this week, there are substantial changes aimed at increasing consistency and grinding capabilities.
These include adding Snake-Eyes Diabellstar, the third Snake-Eyes Poplar, and the second Divine Temple of the Snake-Eye, while omitting Jet Synchron and the Formula Synchron/Borreload Savage Dragon/Baronne de Fleur package.

Snake-Eyes Diabellstar” has an interesting effect where it can target a FIRE monster in your graveyard, except itself, and place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone to Special Summon itself.
This card interacts well with Divine Temple of the Snake-Eye and proves useful against decks relying on Snake-Eyes as their main engine.

The absence of Droll & Lock Bird in both the main deck and side deck seems to be a common choice among several players during this week’s tournaments.

Pitknight Earlie/Decode Talker Heatsoul and the second copy of S:P Little Knight appear to have replaced the Synchro package, allowing the deck to consistently access combos even when facing hand-traps.

Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay in the side deck is included to increase the chance of having access to double hand-traps when going second, while Change of Heart serves to counter the endboards of cards like Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess, which have become the centerpiece of many strategies currently.

Voiceless Voice

The presented list shows minimal changes compared to previous weeks. There are now 2 Pre-Preparation of Rites and the absence of Droll & Lock Bird. An interesting addition is the main deck inclusion of Bystial Magnamhut, mainly used to add Saffira, Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice and to banish I:P Masquerena against Snake-Eyes.

The presence of multiple copies of a card in the Extra Deck is due to Pot of Extravagance. However, this week, we see the addition of Secure Gardna, which was missing in previous weeks, for its combo with Blessing of the Voiceless Voice (read it here).

Tenpai Dragon

The tournament of the week is won by Tenpai Dragon, who clinches the RAM Festival Tournament 2024-02-11 – Japan – with 127 Duelists.

The list features some notable innovations, especially in the main deck. The addition of the Rokket package allows the deck to establish a resilient board when going first, with Borrelend Dragon being particularly challenging to deal with, especially for Snake-Eye decks that are currently omitting Super Starslayer TY-PHON – Sky Crisis.

The combo proposed by the deck is only possible in the OCG using just one Tenpai Dragon Baidora or a way to access it due to the presence of two Striker Dragons.
You can click here for the new 1 card combo going 1st.

Kaiser Colosseum proves to be very oppressive when going first because it makes it nearly impossible to effectively deal with Hieratic Seal of the Heavenly Sphere.

The addition of Burning Draw to the side deck in a deck that maximizes its potential when going second with board breakers seems to be particularly effective, especially against endboards containing Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess. Furthermore, the restriction that allows only Fire monsters to be summoned after its activation does not hinder the deck’s strategy at all, as it relies entirely on Fire monsters for its OTK strategy. You can click here to read the article related to the deck’s basic combo.

(the 15th card in extra deck should be an S:P Little Knight)

Conclusion

In this week’s tournaments, we’ve seen few significant changes in the main decks, with Fire King and Snake-Eyes maintaining their dominance.
Fire King Sky Burn and Snake-Eyes Diabellstar emerge as crucial cards, while the absence of Droll & Lock Bird becomes a common trend to counter Snake-Eyes decks.
Meanwhile, Tenpai Dragon emerges as the winner of the RAM Festival tournament, bringing innovations to the main deck with the addition of the Rokket package.
