R-ACE

This version of R-ACE, unlike those used previously, opts for a different synchro line employing Infernoble Knight Ricciardetto. In contrast to Jet Synchron, Ricciardetto can be accessed not only through the Diabellstar engine but also the R-ACE engine, making Baronne accessible using Isolde, Two Tales of the Noble Knights. This combo provides protection against cards like Harpie’s Feather Duster, Lightning Storm, and Evenly Matched.

The R-ACE engine’s path to reach Ricciardetto is as follows:

  1. Normal summon Rescue-ACE Air Lifter, add EMERGENCY!
  2. Activate EMERGENCY! to special summon Rescue-ACE Hydrant, tributing Rescue-ACE Air Lifter.
  3. Rescue-ACE Hydrant’s effect adds Rescue-ACE Turbulence.
Special Summon Rescue-ACE Turbulence and use its effect to set ALERT!, RESCUE!, EXTINGUISH!, and CONTAIN!
  4. With the effect of Rescue-ACE Hydrant, activate a Quick-Play Spell or Trap Card Set by the effect of your “Rescue-ACE” card.
  5. Activate ALERT! to add a copy of Rescue-ACE Preventer.
  6. Special summon Rescue-ACE Preventer by banishing ALERT!
  7. Special summon S:P Little Knight using Rescue-ACE Hydrant and Rescue-ACE Preventer (5th Summon).
  8. Trigger the effect of Rescue-ACE Preventer to special summon Rescue-ACE Air Lifter from your banish pile.
  9. Summon Isolde, Two Tales of the Noble Knights using S:P Little Knight and Rescue-ACE Air Lifter as material. Trigger Isolde’s effect to add a copy of Rescue-ACE Impulse from your deck to your hand.
  10. Next, use Isolde’s effect, sending a copy of “Infernoble Arms – Durendal” to special summon Infernoble Knight Ricciardetto.
  11. Use Ricciardetto’s effect to summon Rescue-ACE Air Lifter from your GY.
  12. Utilize Infernoble Knight Ricciardetto and Rescue-ACE Turbulence to summon Baronne de Fleur. Summon Isolde, Two Tales of the Noble Knights, and Rescue-ACE Air Lifter to summon a second copy of S:P Little Knight. Trigger its effect on summon to banish Rescue-ACE Air Lifter in the GY.

    End Board:
Monsters: S:P Little Knight/Baronne de Fleur
    S/T: RESCUE!/EXTINGUISH!/CONTAIN!
Hand: Rescue-ACE Impulse + the rest of your hand.

Note: Summoning S:P Little Knight as the 5th summon checks Nibiru because, regardless, you can instantly summon Isolde to add Impulse as a follow-up in case your opponent has it.

Tearlaments

1st place at Glendale, Hollywood and Lubbock regionals.

The predominant version of Tearlament is the one without King of the Swamp. Lately, players have started incorporating the Horus engine, making it more resilient to hand-traps and ensuring follow-up. The deck focuses on summoning Toadally Awesome and Baronne de Fleur for versatile negations.

The Destiny HERO package allows for the summoning of Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal using Destiny HERO – Dangerous and Destiny HERO – Malicious, providing access to the entire engine. Many lists have also begun to include three copies of Diviner of the Herald to play more effectively around Droll & Lock Bird.

Unchained

This version of Unchained, unlike others, incorporates a specific tech choice that takes us back to the past when setting a monster and a trap was a full combo. I’m talking about Sangan!

Sangan proves to be very powerful when going first, summoning it off Tour Guide, especially when starting with multiple engine pieces. It can add a handtrap from the deck to the hand, justifying the singleton copies of Droll & Lock Bird and Effect Veiler in the main deck.

Regarding the side deck, Mistaken Arrest is a formidable floodgate that prevents the opponent from adding any cards from the deck to the hand. It serves as a superior version of Droll & Lock Bird when going first, proving highly effective against all meta decks that need to search for engine pieces in their deck.

Conclusion

While Purrely, Labrynth, and Infernoble are showcasing good results this week’s Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments featured notable strategies such as:

R-ACE: Utilized a unique synchro line with Infernoble Knight Ricciardetto, providing protection against key disruptions.

Tearlaments: Secured 1st place in multiple regionals, opting for a version without King of the Swamp. Incorporated the Horus engine for resilience and focused on versatile negations.

Unchained: Introduced Sangan for nostalgic combo plays, proving powerful when going first. Mistaken Arrest in the side deck countered key meta decks.

These adaptations reflect the dynamic and evolving nature of competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! strategies.
